Aguiar Parish
Aguiar is a Portuguese parish from Viana do Alentejo municipality, with a 27,81 km² area and 699 inhabitants (2001). Density: 25,1 h/km².
It was small town and chief parish between 1287 and the beginning of XIX century. It was constituted only by the small town parish and in 1801 had 248 inhabitants. The parish itself was suppressed between the beginning of XX century and 1985, when it was restored by the Portuguese Republic Assembly. During that period was a part of Viana do Alentejo parish.
